Logged Events

ShopView automatically captures the following events from your point of sale system:

This list is subject to change as we continue to improve and expand our event tracking capabilities.

System Events

Changes to the app or settings.

  • API Change - Changes to API connections
  • Locale Change - Language or region changes
  • Connectivity Change - Network connectivity changes
  • Scanner Change - Scanner data changes
  • Scanner Source Change - Scanner device changes

Cart Events

Changes to the current cart.

  • Cart Initiated* - New cart initiated. This can be a new order, or when the POS app is opened and a cart initiated
  • Cart Closed* - Cart session completed or abandoned
  • Line Item Added - Line item added to cart
  • Line Item Removed - Line item removed from cart
  • Line Item Quantity Changed - Line item quantity modified
  • Line Item Property Changed - Changes to line item properties
  • Order Properties Changed - Changes to the cart attributes
  • Discount Applied - Discount applied to the cart
  • Discount Updated - Existing cart discount updated. If you have a percentage or rules based discount than this can be triggered by line item updates
  • Note Changed - Order notes updated
Cart Event Tracking

Some cart events may be inferred as there is no API available for direct tracking.

Customer Events

  • Customer Attached - Customer associated with order
  • Customer Detached - Customer removed from order
  • Customer Inspected - Customer profile viewed

Order Events

  • ** Draft Order inspected** - Draft order viewed

Product events

  • ** Product inspected** - Product viewed

Post-Purchase Events

  • Post Purchase Inspected - Order post-purchase status inspected
